About the work
LIPS Porcelain Plate is a Porcelain plate, limited edition work by Jeff Koons, a object. It is from the numbered edition of 2500.
Jeff Koons (b. 1955) is among the most recognised artists of his generation, known for immaculately produced work that mines popular culture, luxury and kitsch. His editioned objects extend the mirror-bright surfaces and pop motifs of his large-scale sculpture into collectible form.
As an editioned work, it offers a documented example of Jeff Koons's practice — the same sensibility that defines the larger body of work, issued in a form built for close looking.
